My name is Lisa Wrench and I am a multi-disciplinary artist, an illustrator and a storyteller and I live in Cornwall in an area known as The Forgotten Corner.
Formerly a commercial illustrator and a graduate of Falmouth University, I spent many years in the wilderness of life before a serious illness and a reassessment of my path prompted a return to storytelling and to Cornwall. Back in Falmouth I reset my life by undertaking an MA in Authorial Illustration where I was encouraged to pursue my own authentic creative voice and to begin living the life which was right for me.
Consequently, life here in Cornwall is intentionally simple and close to nature. I currently spend my days creating work which is meaningful to me and which I hope will inspire others, and when I am not working I can usually be found with my partner who is endeavouring to convert an old fishing trawler named Albacore into a houseboat in pursuit of a sustainable way of life for the future. Allow me if you will, to share my adventures ...
There was just enough time this weekend to go out into Falmouth and enjoy the last of these summer days and nights before the Private View opens tomorrow evening. All the work is done now and it's almost over. All that remains is to enjoy the moment. So this weekend, with the Tall Ships visiting Falmouth, the sun shining, and the evenings still warm, I took a few days to relax and reflect a little.
